Warren Miller's IMPACT Takes place on Wednesday, 1 June 2005
Screening at the State Theatre
For the past 55 years, Warren Miller movies have inspired generations of would be ski bums to quit their day jobs, move to the mountains, and live happily ever after. Featuring the best winter athletes of our time, in the most beautiful and pristine locations, IMPACT has a powerful appeal to audiences everywhere.
The 55th annual film sweeps you on an untamed adventure: From the jagged peaks of Chamonix, France to the wide open back country of Montana; and from the death defying steeps of Alaska to the snorkel deep champagne powder of Steamboat, Colorado.
IMPACT also highlights more of the world's finest women athletes than ever before. Charlotte Moats, Jenn Berg, and Hannah Teter plus Olympians Wendy Fisher, Hannah Hardaway and Kelly Clark deliver action that's arguably as graceful and powerful as any ever filmed. "Skilebrity" Glen Plake returns to the big screen in IMPACT, trading in his bump skis for a mono ski in Acapulco, Mexico.
