Competition Terms & Conditions
- Information on how to enter forms part of these conditions of entry. Entry is open to persons attending the Amalgamated Holdings Limited (AHL) Wedding Showcase at the State Theatre (49 Market Street, Sydney) on Thursday August 5, 2004. The Promoter, other entities and agencies associated with this competition, their related bodies corporate and each of their officers, agents, employees and immediate family of any of them are ineligible to enter.
- The competition commences at 12.01am AEST on 05/08/2004 and closes at midnight AEST on 05/08/2004.
- To enter, visit the AHL Wedding Showcase and enter you business card into the draw. For an entry to be valid persons must supply their full name, mailing address and email address.
- No responsibility will be taken by the Promoter for any ineligible or lost entries or entries submitted or received by the Promoter after the closing date. Entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions, are incomplete, or submitted or received by the Promoter after the closing date will be declared void.
- The competition prize draw of winners will take place at 12 noon AEST on 06/08/2004, at the office of the Promoter, located at 49 Market Street, Sydney NSW 2000. The winner will be contacted by phone and mail relying on contact details provided by the entrant and will be announced in The Australian newspaper on 11/08/2004. The result of the prize draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The Prize.
The first one (1) correct entry drawn will win 7-nights accommodation in a standard room for two people at any Rydges Hotel or Resort (excluding Rydges Jamison Sydney and The Thredbo Alpine Hotel). Bookings are subject to availability and meals, travel expenses such as airfares and transfers, and other incidental expenses are not included. The prize is valid until and must be redeemed before the 30/06/2005.
Total maximum approximate retail prize bank value is $1,050 including GST.
- Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash or any other goods or services. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value, performance, or availability of any prize. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the advertised prize for a prize of equivalent or greater retail value if, for any reason beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter is not able to give the prizewinner the advertised prize. Incidental costs relating to the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
Spending money and incidental costs relating to the prize, including but not limited to room service, telephone, in room video, mini bar and meals, passports, visas and compliance with any health or other Government requirements, are the responsibilities of the winner and any nominated traveling companion/s. Any transportation to/from the hotel is the winner’s responsibility. The prize is subject to availability of accommodation and the trip must be taken prior to 30/06/2005. If the trip is not taken by that date the prize will become void and the Promoter will be under no obligation to extend the time by which the trip can be taken nor to provide the prize winner with any alternative prize or compensation of any kind.
If the winner is under 18 years of age, the prize trip must be taken with an accompanying adult. The Promoter is not responsible for any costs of the accompanying adult.
- The Promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize in the event of an entrant failing to comply with these terms and conditions or forfeiting or not claiming the prize by 08/11/2004. If the prize remains unclaimed by that date, a second draw will be held at 12 noon AEST on 09/11/2004 at the same location as the original draw. Disposal of any unclaimed prizes may be made subject to any written directions given by any government authority and pursuant to any relevant legislation. The unclaimed prize draw winners will be announced in The Australian newspaper on 15/11/2004, if applicable.
- The Promoter, other entities associated with this competition and their related bodies corporate, and each of their officers, employees and agents shall not be liable for and shall be held harmless in respect of any loss, damage, or injury whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or sustained, as a result of or arising from the winner’s acceptance and use of the prize, except to the extent that any such liability cannot be excluded by law.
- Entry details remain the property of the Promoter. Acceptance of the prize is deemed to be acceptance by the winner of these terms and conditions and approval to use the winner’s name and photograph for publicity purposes, unless specifically requested by the winner not to do so at the time of accepting the prize.
- If the competition does not run for its duration due to, but not limited to, computer viruses, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the Promoter’s control that corrupts or affects administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. The Promoter will not be responsible for:
(a)Malfunction, delay or traffic congestion on any telephone network or line, computer on-line system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, or website;
(b)Failure of any entry to be received by the Promoter as a result of those matters; nor
(c)Any injury or damage to entrants or any other person related to or resulting from participation in the competition or downloading any materials relating to the competition.
