Greater Union and Birch, Carroll & Coyle cinemas were founded in 1910 and 1923 respectively. Both companies core business has been film exhibition and they have played a major role in the development of the Australian cinema industry.
Today, Greater Union and Birch, Carroll & Coyle screen local and international movies in multi-auditorium complexes around Australia – independently and in joint ventures with companies such as Village Roadshow Limited. These brands also participate in Australia’s largest movie loyalty club – Cine Buzz Rewards.
